Brad graduated from Florida State University, College of Social Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Government and Criminology. Brad obtained his J.D. from Western State University College of Law in San Diego, California, and was admitted to the bar in 1985. Brad is a member of State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in United States District Courts [Central, Northern, and Southern Districts] and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal.
Brad has represented developers, general contractors, and major subcontractors in multi-million dollar actions throughout California. He has been lead counsel in numerous mediated matters and arbitrations. He also has appellate and trial experience.
Brad has served as a Los Angeles County Superior Court Arbitrator and has been a Member of the Southern California Defense Counsel since 1986. Brad’s most recently published article is entitled “The End Is Near - Type I Indemnity Clauses to be Eliminated in Residential Construction Contracts: Analysis and Impact of Assembly Bill 758", which may be found in The Verdict (First Quarter 2006), published by the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
In addition to construction litigation, Brad has extensive personal injury and catastrophic injury litigation experience. He has also represented product manufacturers, mass transit, common carriers, gaming industry and retail operations in defense litigation. Representation of financial institutions and medical malpractice defense compliments his broad-based legal experience. Brad’s career started in entertainment litigation practice, where he was employed at a prominent Century City boutique representing prominent actors, musicians, composers, producers and directors in the entertainment industry.
